Architecture is, to me, an artform that affects us all. We live within spaces defined for us, our thought processes are affected by them; but few know anything about the concepts underlying architecture, the way to build, or how shape and space affects us. Over the last century and a bit, architecture has changed out of all recognition - but most buildings are still constructed four-square. Primitive architecture tends to be built in the round. |
