Tower

There are still a number of these old Victorian towers left, even in London. This one, however, which stands just behind Tower Docklands light rail station, may not survive; it has lost its roof and is threatened with demolition by Railtrack.

Old Derbyshire tanks

The beauty of the colours and textures of these old industrial constructions only comes into its own now, as they rust and take on more of the natural character of the earth around them. This becomes more poignant as it generates thoughts of mortality, of hopes and grandeur fading, like youth, or Empire.

Fogou

A fogou is an underground chamber, created possibly in the Iron Age. This one is in Cornwall, and the only light was that of a small torch reflecting on water.
