A history of art in its use as a spiritual medium and healing modality, from mankind's earliest known intentional marks to the latest contemporary artwork.

The talk gives examples of how mark-making has expressed profound spiritual beliefs through from the cave painters of Lascaux to Egypt, Greece, the Middle Ages and on to more contemporary times.

   The therapeutic use of art is demonstrated through examples of Cilla's own work, as well as a brief discussion of art therapy per se (see the talk on Image-Making and Healing Practice)
